About US

Who we are

Sue and John are a husband and wife team who are both engineers and triathletes and have worked  for over 25 years as industry professionals while successfully pursuing their personal health and wellness goals. Their careers have taken them around the world and given them  skills in time management, goal setting, communication, planning and motivation which all translate well to assisting others to achieve  their  goals. Their technical backgrounds are a great asset for designing scientifically based training programs and analysing fitness data to ensure they get the best out of every athlete. They understand the demands of a busy lifestyle and have successfully balanced challenging jobs, international assignments and their own enjoyment of endurance sports.

Our Experience

Since its inception in 2015, TriExcel has coached athletes from around the world to successfully complete many endurance and shorter events while at the same time continuing to pursue our own endurance training and health goals.

Our Qualifications

Sue and John are both TRIATHLON AUSTRALIA Accredited Development Coaches and have also completed the Ironman University coaching qualification.  Sue is also an accredited Sports Nutritionist with Sports Nutrition Australia.

Why Train With Us?

We pride ourselves in providing a wholistic approach to triathlon training that takes into account our client's lifestyles, work and family commitments. To ensure we can provide the best possible service to each athlete, we restrict ourselves to 5-10 coached athletes each. Every program we write is tailored to the individual's goals, strengths, weaknesses and life commitments. Our approach is based heavily on education to equip each of our athletes with the knowledge and skills to handle any race or training situation, often providing benefits that reach beyond triathlon into everyday life.
